THE HIVE

Transforming Lives

THE HIVE

This is our community hub located in a community centre, where we provide facilities for family youth and the elderly. In our hub families are able to intermingle; support one another, toddlers and children learn and play together, parents share ideas about schooling and parenting and the elderly share time with each other. This is a community hub and anyone is welcome, regardless of their age, culture and social standing.

We run this hub once a month, but due to demand, plan to open more frequently. This requires additional funding and support from volunteers.

BREAKFAST CLUB

One research suggested that almost 38% of children go to school without having breakfast. We found a similar trend when children attend weekend classes. Inspired by the success of mainstream schools, we have facilitated once a
monthly breakfast club at our local mosque. We provide free of charge breakfast, including, cereals, toast, fresh fruit and juice. Parents are welcome to attend too.

We use these sessions to energise the children and teach them about citizenship, kindness and good morals. We wish to run this club weekly once we have secured regular funds.

BBQ

SUMMER TRIP AND BBQ

Bringing The Community Together

SUMMER TRIP

Every year we try to give our community something exciting to share to bring the whole community together.

We organise the summer trips to popular locations in the UK, where there are amusements and activities for the whole family to enjoy. We normally have 70+ people travelling on each trip. We travel to popular locations such as Blackpool, Llandudno, Lake District, Peak Districts etc

SUMMER BBQ

With our BBQ event, we use this event to bring the wide community together, with food, games and stalls. Families from neighbouring communities often attend this event. We use this event as our primary fundraiser, collecting donations and sponsorship. We also raise revenue through stall rental and food sales.

We invite special dignitaries, such as community leaders, councillors and MPs to attend this event. We use this event to recognise special talents in our community,
through creative, bake-off challenges and presenting certificates for special achievers in our community. We typically achieve an attendance of 1000+ guests at our BBQ events.

Youth

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Inspiring the Next Generation

ACTIVE LIFE

We carry out many fun activities with our youth to keep them active. We have organised many biking activities, along the Fallowfield cycling loupe and the peak district. We are proud that our youth members have claimed the peaks of Snowdonia and Scarfel Pikes.

We organise regular and yearly sporting activities including football, cricket and badminton matches.

HOMEWORK CLUB

We started this project during the pandemic with the support of teachers and volunteers. We have seen a surge in the popularity of these projects, with students being added every week.

Currently, this is a virtual class but in the future, we hope to relocate to our hive to provide real student-to-teacher connection.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Career Day
This is a once-a-year event, where we aim to provide school, university and career guidance to our youth. These guidelines are provided by career professionals, school and university staff and parents.

Mentoring
Our mentoring support is provided by our sister concern, the Muslim Mentoring Network (MMN). MMN's partnership with BeeHive Trust will facilitate and support the development of both mentees and mentors. This is to provide support to the youth with their career aspirations and support them through difficult times.

Needy

HELPING THE NEEDY

Standing By The Community

UK

As a social-charitable organisation, our core belief is to help the needy wherever we can and whenever we can, regardless of the logistics involved. We aim to stand beside the neediest within our community, here in the UK and
Abroad.

We stood beside charities whenever there was a need. We helped raise funds for the Woodhouse Trust, Homeless Feed, Christie's and many other popular charities.

BANGLADESH

Although this is not a bit part of a project, we feel morally obliged to stand beside disaster-strike people and people with extreme poverty.

Every year Bangladesh is hit by flooding affecting many regions, covering over 90% of its land mass. As our ancestral land, we believe it's our duty to stand with the people most affected by natural disasters. We have provided emergency rations during covid and the recent floods, and we have also provided emergency shelter and winter clothing.
